Been looking for a stand for my mitre saw for a while but prices were ridiculous so just not an option. When this came up at a very competitive price I thought what have I got to lose, if its rubbish I can just return it, Aldi returns has never been a problem. Delivery – Quick and turned up early. Setup – Instructions were OK but didn’t it take long anyway. Immediate Impressions – Very stable and sturdy when setup. Some others I’ve seen have been wobbly and felt very flimsy but this is not one of those. In use: I didn’t realise that it had quick release clamps to remove the saw from the stand when I ordered it but these have been a boon in use as my saw is really heavy and unwieldy so not having to carry it and the stand at the same time is a real plus. Adjusting the extension arms can be a bit fiddly and they struggle with really long floor boards but I think most stands will as they are all seem to be designed the same way. The extension arms can also be used as a stop block, very handy for repeat cuts and a lot less hassle than setting up your own. I have to say so far I’ve very impressed. In fact if I had paid the full price its still a good deal. The quick release clamps are a boon as you only have to mount them on the saw once, I’ve seen stands where you have to unbolt the saw to take it off the stand.
